Copy Typing – standard

I offer a high quality professional copy typing service suitable for businesses or individuals. I accept both one-off and regular assignments.

Prices for standard copy typing are generally charged at £20 per hour. Minimum charge 1 hour then in 15 minute increments.

A fixed retainer price can be agreed for regular work.

Originals can be handwritten or typed, hard copy or digital. 

I can type your work using basic formatting or I can utilise your in-house styles and templates as required. Please contact me to discuss your requirements.

This personal and professional service is ideal for larger projects such as creative writing but can also be used to create typed digital copies of handwritten works ensuring they can be preserved and shared with others, for example:

My manuscript service is offered at a simple fixed rate per 1,000 words.

Prices start at £10 per 1,000 words for reproducing from a typed original and from £12 per 1,000 words for handwritten.

The exact price will depend on the quality of the original copy, legibility and any formatting required. I am always very happy to take a look at a sample of the document and provide a free quote. 

I am not part of a typing agency and you can be assured that I will treat all work sensitively.

Audio Typing

My digital transcription service can be used for many different types of documentation including:

  • Correspondence
  • Medical notes
  • Reports
  • Notes of recorded meetings
  • Research notes
  • Interviews

Prices for audio-typing start at £1.10 per audio minute for a one or two speakers, clear recording.

Costs will vary after that depending on the number of speakers and whether the subject matter is particularly specialist or technical.  Please ask for a free quotation.

Non-verbatim or “intelligent” transcriptions will be provided unless specifically requested otherwise. 

I only accept digital recordings.


 Your document has been written, typed, edited and re-edited. It will have already been copy-edited to check the syntax, spelling and grammar, but before you send to print it really pays to have it read over by someone who has not been a part of the creation process. 

My proof-reading service offers you a fresh pair of eyes to check for odd formatting, page number inconsistencies, typos and extra spaces etc.

Prices start at £10 per 1,000 words and depend on the type of document and subject matter. Please ask for a free quote.
